The Arc of Western Wayne County // July 2009

The Arc of Western Wayne County advocates for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We worked closely with Strategy Network, a Michigan based marketing agency on The Arc website. We took the provided art files and turned them into visual HTML/CSS templates. We then integrated those into ExpressionEngine as the CMS of choice. In addition to standard content areas, the website has a special Helpline section. The Helpline sections houses a vast amount of information on disability topics and also includes audio recordings of each topic. Additionally the site allows for members to join The Arc and to make donations online.

We worked hard to ensure the site was consistent with the Guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for World Wide Web accessibility and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
